Huntingdon County native, Doug Forshey, has been a published songwriter in Nashville for 20 years. He plays regularly in and around Nashville in historic venues including the world famous Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner Cafe and Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. His songs have been recorded by independent artists across the United States and Canada, including a song recorded by Central PA’s own Mama Corn Bluegrass Band. In 2012, his song Rest For My Body was recorded by Canadian Country artist, Quentin Reddy, and released as his debut single to radio where it remained on the Hot 100 Chart for 15 weeks. Doug Forshey brings his band of talented Nashville musicians to the Huntingdon County Fair on Saturday, August 15th to play a career spanning set featuring songs from his upcoming album, Built To Last, as well as time tested favorites.
